Joined Chelsea Football Club as an apprentice professional and remained with them for 25 years one of their longest serving professionals.

Represented England Youth (under 18). Versus Holland and Scotland.

Represented England (Under 23). Versus Yugoslavia, Scotland and West Germany.

In the build for the 1966 World Cup. Represented England in Full International in games
Versus Czechoslovakia, East Germany and Switzerland.
As part of the English Football Association Centenary Celebrations, I was selected to play for:
England versus Rest of the World. Suffered serious knee injury and was unable to play for the remainder of the season.

Played two full seasons for Chelsea Football Club.

Two full F.A. Cup programmes
Two full European Cup competitions
In addition to the full club programme, this period also included an International series of matches in preparation for the 1966 World Cup. I was named in the final selection of 30 players, but three months before the finals, I suffered a recurrence of my earlier knee injury which resulted in being out of football for one year.

During my one year rehabilitation I studied the techniques of football in preparation for a career in football coaching.

SUMMARY

My entire playing career was spent at Chelsea Football Club, with 10 years as a regular first team player, and playing several hundred matches consisting of league, Cup, European and International matches, until forced to retire in 1967.

Appointed Youth Coach to Chelsea Football Club in the summer of that year passed my Preliminary coaching award.

Passed my full coaching award at the F.A. College at Lilleshall.

As a member of the Surrey Coaches Association, I was involved in teaching the techniques of football to classes of coaches.

As Youth Coach for Chelsea Football Club, I was responsible for the setting up of an Academy of football. The purpose of this Academy, was to discover and develop the potential of young players. During this period (ten years) the Academy produced many players of professional and International quality.

Appointed Team Manager and coach for Chelsea Football Club. Finished mid table in the first division and reached the quarter finals of the F.A. Cup, completing two full seasons.

Appointed Coach and Assistant manager to Queens Park Rangers. Finishing in the top three of the second division.

Appointed Youth Coach to Crystal Palace Football Club.

Appointed Coach and Assistant manager to Preston North End Football Club.

Responsible for setting up Soccer Coaching in Texas (U.S.A.) for student between the ages of 7 to 18.
The success of the Coaching and the interest shown in soccer meant several soccer schools were set up across the State of Texas.

Appointed Coach and Assistant Manager to Crystal Palace Football Club.

Appointed South East representative for Coventry City Football Club. This position entailed:
1. Discovering and coaching school boys between the ages of 12-16, in preparation for a career in
1. Professional Football.
2. To scout for ready made professionals to play for Coventry Football Club.
Represented the United Kingdom in the Veterans World Cup in Brazil. The participating teams were:
Brazil • Italy • Uruguay • West Germany • Argentine • United Kingdom

Appointed Director of Coaching to the Football Association of Selangor.

Appointed Head Coach for Kuala Lumpur and lead them to become F.A. Cup Champions.

Appointed Head Coach for Perak Football Association.

Appinted Director of Coaching for Sabah Football Association.

Head coach MPPJ Selangor - went on to become Malaysia Cup Champion.

At the moment I am coaching my own soccer academy in Kota Kinabalu.

SUMMARY
Since 1967 I have been totally involved in coaching and management at all levels of football, from schoolboy to the highest professionals, and is responsible for developing many International players and coaches.
